ABOUT PAMELA PECCHIO

Pecchio received her MFA in photography from Yale in 2001, where she was awarded the Richard Dixon Welling Prize. Her work is included in collections at the Yale University Art Museum, the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, among others, along with many private collections.  Pecchio’s photographs of inhabited spaces will be exhibited in Dwelling at the North Carolina Museum of Art February-July, 2013.

 

Pecchio has exhibited her work across the United States and internationally. The New Yorker and the Village Voice are among the publications that have reviewed Pecchio’s exhibitions. Details, Camera Arts, ArtNews and V magazines and many other online and print publications have featured her work. She is the author of two books: eight, an artist’s book published by Nexus Press; and 509, a limited edition monograph published by Daniel 13 Press. She is currently Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Virginia.
